Jaden's 1st Field Trip

Jaden got to go on his first field trip at school! He was VERY excited - probably more because I was chaperoning than the fact that he was going to pick apples, but that's okay. He had a great time and was a good boy all day! No tears - even when I left him at school after the field trip. As long as he knew I was coming back for him after lunch he was fine.

Day two....

Day 2 of kindergarten for Kyla...day 4 of preschool for Jaden...day 1 of mommy's kid-free time! Don't let the big smile on Jaden's face fool you, he was not so excited to go to school today...and although I was hoping he'd be better once he saw Kyla getting on the bus, that was not so much how he reacted. :-( Lots of tears today, and a death grip around my neck as I tried to leave him at school. Ah...my two opposite children! LOL

Whew...I made it through the first day...barely! LOL It does help knowing that she's enjoying school. There goes my baby :-(

Kyla starts kindergarten - already??

I can't believe my little girl is starting kindergarten! Where, oh where, did the time go? She was very excited about going (of course!) and announced to me on Monday that she was excited that she "finally gets to go to school ALL DAY!" Yes, I guess it was about time - no more of this half day stuff - that's just for little kids! LOL This morning was definitely harder on me that it was for her!

Almost a year?!

Ok, I guess I'm a slacker...but in my defense, I started this blog almost a year ago, not having a clue about how this whole thing worked. It was a tester page, if you will. But since then I've been blogging about my crafts on my other blog and figured it was about time I updated this one. So, here goes... I'll start with recent events - Jaden's 1st day of preschool. It could've gone better, but at least I didn't get a call to come pick him up early! LOL I'm sure the tears will stop...eventually! LOL

So excited to start school!....

...and the tides turned. We left with Jaden in tears, but when I called the school later, he was done crying and enjoying his day.
